We offer some pre-bookable appointments that are offered on a ‘named doctor’ basis and these are available to book up to two weeks in advance – please visit our Consulting Room.

Appointments on the day (offered with any doctor) can be made by telephoning the reception desk at the surgery from 08:30 onwards. We advise that you ring as early as possible to ensure that you get an appointment time of your choice.

If you are unable to book an appointment and feel that your condition is urgent and cannot wait until the next morning then you can come to the surgery as an ‘extra’ patient.

You should come in around 10:45 (definitely by 11:00) and be prepared to see any available GP. We do not see any patients without an appointment during the evening surgery. We are unable to book more than one appointment per family per day. This policy has enabled us to make more appointments available for all of our patients.

Please also note we only take telephone bookings and are unable to book appointments at the reception desk (this has been decided by our Patient Participation Group members).

Children with ‘Open Access’ to the local hospital should be brought into the surgery for assessment rather than attending hospital if they are unwell. Please phone reception, who will advise you of the time to bring the child in to be seen.

To ensure we have appointments available for sick patients we ask all patients needing Sick Notes, Fit Notes or have medication queries to come in on any day at 11:00 (definitely before 11:30) without an appointment. Patients are served on a first come, first seen basis and there may be a wait.
